After his political and Masonic careers were over and he was no longer a “Rotarian“, Farwerck did not sit still. He kept lecturing until very late in his life. Since some of these lectures were announced in newspapers, I can give you an idea what he lectured about and when. It appears that after World War II he found ‘new’ homes in an archaeological and a genealogical group (or at least, he wasn’t thrown out of them).
- March 1952 Lecture about symbols on buildings for a local society of genealogists;
- September 1952 about the church of Vries for a genealogical society;
- March 1954 lecture about Atlantis for an archaeological group in the North of the country;
- October 1954 lecture about Northern European mummies for an archeologists society;
- October 1956 lecture about housemarks for a genealogical society;
- March 1958 lecture for an archaeological group about ancient expressions of art;
- September 1958 lecture about ancient symbolism for a genealogical society;
- January 1959 Farwerck gave a lecture for a society of genealogists showing that our ancestors were not barbarians;
- September 1960 lecture about the Externsteine for the local archaeological society;
- 1965 lecture about the spirituality of the ancestors for an archaeological society.
